Mijn dromen en ambities
After completing the bachelor study biometrics – medical technology – (2007) and the master study human movement sciences (2009), my employment background includes a solid and competent five-year history in clinical research. I obtained my PhD (2010-2013) in medicine from Utrecht University on the study of clinical exercise physiology in chronically ill children, especially in children with congenital heart disease. After obtaining my PhD, I fulfilled the criteria for the registration as a medical physiologist (2013). Currently, I am performing clinical research as a postdoctoral researcher at Maastricht University within the field of prehabilitation (the “better in, better out” concept) in patients with cancer and patients with heart failure scheduled for elective surgery.
